Product Release Notice: RTX® 8.1 Service Pack 1

Nov 20. 2008 - IntervalZero is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Service Pack 1 for RTX 8.1 (RTX 8.1 SP1).

This service pack applies only to RTX 8.1, the latest generally available release of the product, and is not for installation on earlier versions of RTX.

Importantly, RTX 8.1 SP1 includes support for the Windows XP SP3 operating system. IntervalZero highly recommends that customers who are running Windows XP SP3 in combination with RTX 8.1 install this service pack. Additionally, RTX 8.1 customers who are planning an upgrade to XP SP3 should install RTX 8.1 SP1.

RTX 8.1 SP1 is not a full version of the product and will update only the installed RTX 8.1 components. Please note that once RTX 8.1 SP1 is installed, modifying the RTX subsystem will require uninstalling the service pack, making the change, and then reinstalling the service pack.

RTX 8.1 SP1 also resolves several issues.

• Users can now ping multiple ports on a Network Interface Card
• Stack ARP table entries set using RTSSArp can be made permanent
• RTSSArp no longer requires rtnd to be specified when setting an ARP table entry.
• IPCONFIG no longer displays incorrect IP addresses
• Subsystem logic has been altered to prevent premature Device IO Control returns
